  1.                 How to register QFAX V1.08 <ASP>
  2.  
  3.     QuickStar Fax Pro V1.08 is a shareware software produced by a member of
  4. the Association of Shareware Professionals. Please read the ASP OMBUDSMAN
  5. statement located at the end of this file and find out how to contact ASP.
  6. You may try it for 30 days for free in order to evaluate its usefulness to
  7. you. If you continue to use QFAX after the 30 days trial period, please
  8. register your copy of QFAX with the author. Please read the limited warranty
  9. statement near the end of this file and make sure you can agree with the
  10. terms.  If you do not agree to my limited warranty terms, do not use QFAX.
  11. By simply using QFAX you have expressed that you agree to the warranty terms
  12. and you will use QFAX at your own risk.

  14.     Here is the top ten reasons why you should register QFAX with me:

  16.       10.The author is a poor student and need money
  17.        9.You want to reward the author for writing this program
  18.        8.You are honest and respects intellectural properties
  19.        7.You are using QFAX beyond the 30 days trial period
  20.        6.It is cheap to register. This only costs you $20
  21.        5.You will have uplimited free upgrading license
  22.        4.You want to remove the bothering nag screens
  23.        3.You want to be able to send batch faxes automatically
  24.        2.You want a full functional registered program
  25.        1.This program is great and is useful to you

  27.     What do you get when registering my program?
  28.  
  29.        You will get a license number from me. And you will always be able
  30.     obtain a free upgrade license once a new version of QFAX is released.
  31.  
  32.        Once the license number is entered QFAX will be activated into a full
  33.     functional registered program. It will never display any nag screen any
  34.     more. And it will never ask you for the license number again.
  35.  
  36.        With registration you can do personalized fax broadcasting using the
  37.     included program MANYFAX.EXE, automatically, without user attendance.
  38.  
  39.        You will have peace in mind, since you are using a software that you
  40.     have paid for. For $20 you get a pretty good program.
  41.  
  42.     I will be able to help you to solve specific problems related to the
  43. usage of QFAX in your computer should it occur, within 3 monthes after you
  44. register the software with me. If there is a problem occured within this
  45. 3 month period that I am unable to help you to solve, you can request your
  46. registration fee to be refunded less a nominal processing cost. I will
  47. always be willing to answer any questions related to the usage of QFAX,
  48. but priority will be given to users who have registered my program.

  50.     Please check informations provided near the end of this file to find
  51. out how to reach me for help and for registration.

  53.     If you are running an un-registered version of QFAX, it will remind you
  54. for registration at the start of the program. It will also tell you the
  55. software serial number. Please write down that number. You will need to
  56. provide that R.300**** number in order to register QFAX with me.
  57.  
  58.     If at the DOS promt of your PC computer, you type "qfax" with no file
  59. name or any thing follows it, it will display a short help message. But for
  60. more detailed information about the usage of QFAX, please read the file
  61. USAGE.TXT and follow the instructions.

  63.     There are three methods you can use to register QFAX:
  64.  
  65.     Method 1. Register QFAX directly with the author ==> $20.00
  66.  
  67.       To register QFAX directly with me, you need to do the following:
  68.  
  69.        a. Fill out the enclosed registration form, which is in the file
  70.           register.frm. Print it out and sign it.
  71.           You may not need to fill out every thing. But I need at least
  72.           the following informations:
  73.             Your name, your QFAX serial number.
  74.             Your E-Mail address and/or your post mail address
  75.  
  76.        b. Put the registration form in an envelope and enclose a payment of
  77.           US$20.00, payable to Mr. Anthony Mai. If you live in Pennsylvania
  78.           please add a 6% sale's tax (making the total $21.20).
  79.           
  80.           Valid forms of payments are:
  81.  
  82.             Personal or Business checks drawn on a USA or Canada bank.
  83.  
  84.             International traveler's cheques of US$20. This is a convenient
  85.             way of making international payments. Be sure to sign on both
  86.             spaces provided for signature before you mail it!
  87.  
  88.             US dollar notes (cash). If US dollars are not available, cash
  89.             in major foreign currencies can be accepted, too. However you
  90.             should be aware that mailing cash in a envelope may not be
  91.             allowed in your country.
  92.  
  93.             Bank checks, money orders, postal money orders also accepted.
  94.  
  95.             The author can NOT accept credit card payments, at least till
  96.             the time when this software is release. For credit card
  97.             registrations please refer to method 3, register via PsL.

  112.           After I receive your registration I will send you an E-Mail right
  113.           away and give you the license number, and provide information on
  114.           any updated QFAX program that may be available. If your E-Mail
  115.           address is missing or incorrect, I will use post mail instead.

  117.     Method 2. Register QFAX on CompuServe using SWREG service  ==> $20.00
  118.  
  119.       This is the easiest and fastest way to register QFAX if you have a
  120.       CompuServe membership, whether you are in USA or not. Just log on to
  121.       CompuServe. At the "!" prompt type "go SWREG". It will let you search
  122.       for available sharewares for registration. You may search QFAX using
  123.       QFAX's SWREG ID number 8913, or using the author's CIS ID 102773,370.
  124.       The whole registration procedure is very simple. After you register,
  125.       a US$20.00 registration fee charge is added to your CompuServe bill.
  126.       And I will receive a notice from CompuServe that you registered.

  128.       Right after you register via SWREG, please send me a CompuServe mail
  129.       to 102773,370 and tell me that you have registered QFAX using SWREG,
  130.       and tell me your QFAX license number. I will promptly E-Mail you with
  131.       the license number for you to unlock the registered features.

  134.     Method 3. Register QFAX using your credit card via PsL  ==> $24.00
  135.  
  136.       This is the most convenient way for you to register QFAX if you do
  137.       not have a CompuServe membership, whether you are in USA or in other
  138.       country. Please be advised that the author has no affiliation with
  139.       PsL (Public software Libraries) other than that PsL helps me to
  140.       collect credit card payments and forward your registration request
  141.       to me. They do it for more than 1200 shareware authors. PsL has a
  142.       good reputation in doing this, but they do charge more than $6 fee
  143.       for each registration they process. That's why the registration fee
  144.       via PsL is a bit higher than other options.

  189. Limited Warrantty:

  191.     The author of QFAX warrants that QFAX will work on your computer within
  192. three month after you register QFAX. If it doesn't work due to a problem
  193. that the author is unable to help, your registration fee may be refunded
  194. but less $5 postage and handling fee, if it is within 3 monthes of your
  195. registration. The author expressly disclaims any warranty other than the
  196. above. And the author will not be held liable for any damage or loss due
  197. to the usage of QFAX. The QFAX is provided "as is" and should be used on
  198. the user's own risk. Under any circumstance the only compensation the user
  199. may get from the author is the pre-paid registration fee less a $5 postage
  200. and handling fee.
